A well-deserved "pat on the back" to all those who turned out to help put it up and get things read. Now all we need are fish!
The fence installation on Tuesday, September 17th went in without a hitch. A well-deserved "pat on the back" to all those who turned out to help put it up and get things read. Now all we need are fish!

Individuals from The Garth Homer Society came out for a tour at our hatchery last May. After an educational tour of the facility, participants got to release baby salmon into the Goldstream. This was an enjoyable and exciting experience for both the folks at The Garth Homer Society and our GVSEA volunteers.
"The Garth Homer Society provides day services and programming within Greater Victoria for adults with developmental disabilities. We have 185 clients participating in seven different community and employment programs. Our clients display an astounding range of capabilities, but whatever their capabilities, they all share one thing - hope for their futures, and for a place in the world where they can feel at home among people who value and include them. Our job every day is to work with members of the Garth Homer family to help them be everything that they can be, to the very best of their abilities, and in the unique and often wonderful ways that are best suited to them." - http://www.garthhomersociety.org/ It goes to show you that our facility here at Goldstream goes far beyond the production of salmon for south Vancouver Island Streams. |
